PROJECT Tecnimont's first project in the Philippines involves a joint venture with JGC Philippines to implement a new 250,000 t/y High-Density Polyethylene unit using MarTECH™ technology and upgrade an existing Polypropylene unit to 300,000 t/y with UNIPOL® PP technology.HDPE

The contract, first in the Philippines for the Tecnimont, includes the implementation of a new High-Density Polyethylene unit (HDPE) and the upgrading of an existing Polypropylene unit (PP) in a joint venture with JGC Philippines. The project scope entails Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities up to Ready for Commissioning.
Once the project is completed, the new HDPE plant will have a capacity of 250,000 t/y of HDPE based on Chevron Phillips Chemical’s MarTECH™ technology, while the existing PP plant will expand to 300,000 t/y based on Grace’s UNIPOL® PP technology.
Through this important first step in the Philippines for a prestigious Client such as JGSPC, Tecnimont confirms its global leadership in polyolefins, and consolidates its technology-driven footprint in South East Asia, a market with a very promising downstream investment cycle thanks to the availability of natural resources and the growing demand for chemical products.
THIS PROJECT, FOR JGSPC, INCLUDES ENGINEERING, PROCUREMENT, AND CONSTRUCTION UP TO COMMISSIONING, REINFORCING TECNIMONT'S LEADERSHIP IN POLYOLEFINS AND EXPANDING ITS FOOTPRINT IN SOUTHEAST ASIA.
