Kingisepp (Russian Federation), 17^th September 2021 – Last week the groundbreaking ceremony for Kingisepp II Project was held at the construction site. The event for the new plant to be built at Kingisepp, in Leningrad Oblast was attended by top management representatives from EuroChem and Maire Tecnimont Group, among which our Antonio Donato, Tecnimont Representative Office Russia Vice President. The St. Petersburg Governor also joined the ceremony.

Tecnimont with MT Russia is executing Engineering, Procurement and Construction activities including Commissioning,  for a new urea and ammonia production facility located within the “Phosphorit” industrial area in Kingisepp district, close to the Kingisepp Ammonia plant  ( nameplate capacity 2700 tons per day) completed by Tecnimont in 2019. The new combined urea and ammonia plant will be based on Stamicarbon technology for Urea and KBR technology for Ammonia and will have a nameplate capacity 3,000 tonnes of ammonia and nameplate capacity 4,000 tonnes of urea per day, once fully ramped up.
