OUR HISTORY
From the very first day, we have dreamed big. We have no intention of stopping anytime soon.
One of Maire’s companies develops a urea granulation plant in the Middle East area.
Tecnimont begins development on the Borouge polyolefin mega complex in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi.
We completed the first section of the Etihad Rail Network from Habshan to Ruwais. In December Tecnimont secures the Dabb’iya Surface Facilities Phase III Project for ADCO, marking the largest contract awarded to Tecnimont as a single contractor.
In February, Tecnimont is awarded an EPC contract by ADGAS for the IGD Expansion Project of the existing Gas Dehydration Facility on Das Island, Abu Dhabi.
Tecnimont scores an EPC contract for the construction of a new Polypropylene Unit within the Borouge polyolefin complex.
Tecnimont signs with Borouge 3 EPC contracts related to the world-class fourth expansion phase (Borouge 4) of the Ruwais polyolefins complex in Ruwais, located about 240 km west of Abu Dhabi City.
Tecnimont UAE opens brand-new state-of-the-art headquarters in Abu Dhabi. In January Tecnimont scores contract for world-class integrated polymers complex to be built in Ras Laffan near Doha, Qatar and in October Tecnimont wins a USD 8.7 billion contract by ADNOC for the onshore portion of the HAIL and GHASHA development project in Abu Dhabi. It is the largest award ever for the Maire Group.
